12. Online Learning and Resource Training

- Application of ICT to the development of new curricula for teaching English for special purposes (aviation and maritime transport) by means of the introduction of a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). - Establishment of a VLE resource centre at the Transport & Communications Institute to train staff in the use of VLEs and to develop teaching materials, methods and courses that integrate the technology into the work of the Institute.

13. ICT as a tool in postgraduate training and VET practices

Overall objectives

1. Creation of a university management unit and system (IPTME) which develops and administers ICT-supported teaching during industrial and vocational practices.
2. Development of the TME-specific methodology and content for ICT-supported teaching during industrial and vocational practices in cooperation with educational institutions, industry and the ministries of TME.
3. Implementation of practical experience in ICT-supported teaching during industrial and vocational practices by pilot teaching in selected areas with a subsequent large-scale teaching and teacher/trainers training programmes.
4. Sustainability: Creation of the base for ICT-supported teaching during industrial and vocational practices as a sustainable standard procedure in the TME Educational System and Vocational Education Training systems (VET).

14. Transcontinental bridge: regional training centers for spreading modern information technologies of governing
