Potential candidates should be aware that the European Commission, and in particular its Directorate General for External Relations, regularly updates its strategies with regard to partner countries. Potential candidates are therefore advised to consult the DG RELEX website at to inform themselves about the latest developments and in particular to be aware of any newly-adopted strategy papers.
In accordance with the European Community regulation, the three proposed areas for cooperation are:
• support for the private sector and assistance for economic development;
• development of infrastructure networks;
• development of the rural economy.
