The main purpose of the project is to assist in increasing the output and improving the quality of cotton produced while contributing to the development of an overall operating strategy for the industry, which will see Turkmenistan resuming a strong international position as a cotton producer. Project will assist the improvement of yield and quality of cotton produced through better seed selection, breeding and supply, better agronomic techniques, harvesting and grading, the Government of Turkmenistan in the development of a sector strategy which will improve efficiency and output in the medium/long term.
